#64. Sweat replied by NinjaMasterDave @ Thu, 21 Feb 2008 22:56:41 -0000

I love how you say, ‘sweat’. Really doesn’t leave a lot of room for error in understanding what we need to do to start getting in shape. ;) I’ve been finding I am more prone to go out and saturate my shirt if it is something outside where I can appreciate nature at the same time. Even tho its cold, the mountains in the boulder area are a great place to do so. When I was in Jersey, I would run with my dog a bit. I am not a fan of the gym so much…although I’ve tried it over and over.

I like to watch this reality tv show called Survivor- where a group of people basically have to survive on an island for 40 days- and they vote each other off and all that. I watch more for the scenery (more than 1 kind of scenery), plus i have an interest in survival skills… Anyway, I always find it amazing how even the most over weight people end up looking healthy and skinny- with beautiful skin, after they have been working their butts off outside (and being active- swimming- obstacle courses..) for 25-30 days. No beauty products needed- just sweat. ;) Point being- it becomes more and more apparent to me that obesity occurs because of unnatural lifestyles. (ala too much time in the car, or in front of the pc).

In my experience, getting started was the hardest part- but taking steps I know I can handle was the key. I just try to make it enjoyable for myself, and I have found as time goes on, my body craves to be used. Similar to thirst or hunger. Great stuff. :)

What are you doing these days, Bri? Mind sharing?

Anyone else proud of their sweat routine? :)

#11. Sh*tty Movies replied by NinjaMasterDave @ Wed, 06 Feb 2008 23:03:59 -0000

Hi Reality, thanks for chiming in. :)

The thing about thinking and thoughts is the ones we focus on the most/hardest are the ones we can easily access—and the ones that easily pop up in our mind if we aren’t really focusing on anything in particular. Sounds funny, but focus (thinking) takes practice! And I see what Bri is saying- too many people repeat these scenes in head- which more or less makes it easier to think- and well, it sort of snowballs.

It is just interesting many of us choose those movies/scenes over the ones that make us feel inspired and empowered. Is that a practice worth embarking on? Probably. :)

Ah yes. Persona. Such as NinjaMaster Dave! I hear that persona is a deadly one. ;) Def good to step back from that one every now and again- even ninjamasters need to stop and smell the roses.

Especially ninjamasters, one might argue. :)

#26. David Emerald: Rubber Bands and Your Ideals replied by NinjaMasterDave @ Fri, 25 Jan 2008 20:34:21 -0000

Now here is one to live your life by. There is certainly something to be said for ‘molding the clay’- and when we come up with new ideas, I feel most do not pursue them because they feel the tention of where they are now- and the voice inside calling them forward. But it is funny- using this rubber band analogy- because when we have the idea, its like we stretch out- reaching out- and then once we let go of our own feelings of limitation and any voice inside saying ‘you cant do it’- we are free to release the tension and move forward.

Great post!!

This is one of the most powerful topics I have ever received from you, Bri. Where our attention goes, energy flows isn’t just a fancy saying! :) I can say this is the thing i point out the most with people, without even getting into manifestation, or quantum physics, people can see very easily that when they refine their focus just a little bit, their experience will be different. :)
