(Better yet, never turn it on.)

Alright. Guess the average emotion of your average TV viewer.

Yep, mild depression.

Yikes. Makes sense though, eh? Your soul knows that you’re just avoiding life when you plop down to watch some fictional drama unfold or distract yourself in the myriad of numbing selections.

Turn off your TV, (pretty) please. :)

Does this apply for watching a specific movie that we want to see (we know it will be on TV or we have it on DVD etc.) or watching a match with friends? I don’t think so. But I agree: turn off your TV when your start to feel a mild depression and do something that makes you feel happy.
From my experience I see that watching something in TV that I planed to watch, makes me feel at least not depressed and watching TV, for the sake of watching, makes me feel depressed after a short period of time, because of the ‘things’ that my soul knows ;-).
