trans-par-en-cy noun ( pl. -cies) 1. the condition of being transparent : the transparency of ice. ORIGIN late 16th cent. (as a general term denoting a transparent object): from medieval Latin transparentia, from transparent- ‘shining through’ (see transparent).
Transparency. The word comes from the medieval Latin “transparentia” and literally means “shining through.” That. Is Amazing. “Shining through.” Wow. So, when we’re being transparent, we’re letting our souls “shine through.” The alternative? Being opaque. That word comes from the Latin “opacus.” Know what that means? Darkness. (Yikes!) Let’s shine our lights through, shall we? |
